NOS (Neworderofages) is proud to bring another edition of our interviews to you, this time going global & chopping it up with a independent but well known Philadelphia Artist. Conversant about his daily life routine, models, clothing & of course his music & what got him here. Enjoy this reading as we chop it up in this Q&A as you learn about ASAAD.

1. Introduce who you are & what you stand for?

ASAAD - My name is Asaad, currently 20 yrs young, my name isn’t an acronym or anything but I stand for all the kids that come from fuk’d up families…

2.  Tell us why you’re comfortable with your Original Name oppose to a stage name; can you give us the origin of “ASAAD”?

ASAAD - My name is Arabic for lion…& my entire name is Saayid Asaad which means the fortunate person so combined it makes the lucky lion or happy lion.  I’m just a person that doesn’t give a fuk about change, I’m more interested into growth, progression all that fun stuff happy lion.  I’m just a person that doesn’t give a fuk about change, I’m more interested into growth, progression all that fun stuff.

3. “The Big Three” such as Dirty White Leathers, Paint on the Fur, & Paradise Jungle have received great feedback from listens & supports; in your opinion any tracks for us to anticipate that will be a instant killer?

ASAAD - there’s a song called sleep it off produced by ritz reynolds on the #dirtymiddleclass mix tape  that’s very well conducted…the risk i took by rapping over synth rain drops instead of snare drums gives me the chills…. Those songs were all throw aways to be honest, I’m glad ppl like them but they really were appetizers, had to test the market…those were the effortless samples…i did 2 nascent  & qb records in a 3 day period actually…

i did dirty white leathers thursday night released it that monday early october…recorded paint on the fur the night it dropped i remember ammo playing me the beat while high as a fuk.

  4. As seen earlier this week the video for “To Real” was released tell us about the visuals done for the project & thoughts?

ASAAD - those are my niggas in paris! I’m a bapetalk kid i wore a shitload of bape when i was younger….which led me to meet medhi from seriouswapanese he’s been a huge supporter since the origins of tumblr! the twinsmatic sent me that record probably the same week i did those last 2 records & i remember them being in Colette from playing it with givenchy new season shit in the back it was very dope!

5. What is the ideal theme which lead to the concept for DIRTYMIDDLECLASS?

ASAAD - one word, troy. he’s an all american bad ass…we wake up everyday & do what we want. make money chill smoke & devote our-self fully to whatever the fuk we want…I’m sort of telling my life story & using him as a scapegoat or mascot is actually funny & less serious as people think. Its like how kanye wrote drive slow for his homie don c… I bounce creativity from friends & make it dope for every people to enjoy. I think its called reciprocity troy has been my best friend for some time now, been around for all my setbacks & now we are on the more positive slope. troy, jordan & I formed dirty middle class along with a handful of young real niggas with inquiring minds.

6. From what inspiration have you utilize & gain from to inspire?

ASAAD - Its simply coming from the very bottom just trying to take it to the top. the bottom is whack, I’m over it…now we on some new shit its called being the best. My zone is the ultimate comfort, i like it better here than american reality anyways.

7. Would you say you have a peculiar obsession for models; if so, mind naming a few favorites?

ASAAD - I’m actually on bbm right now with daphne groenveld…she’s mad young our Kate Moss but thats my young yawn…she’s in some dutch town for Christmas her bday is xmas eve! shot out to my boo Daphne Groenveld.

8. Switching to some fashion talk, what are some familiar brands in your closet you’ve become fond & accustom with?

ASAAD - There hasn’t been a day in the last year i haven’t worn balmain trousers or calvin klein boxer briefs with bape camo socks…its a necessity…jordans & times are my twist. i like bred 1’s, white or black cement 3’s i got ample pairs, metallic 5’s & 6’s…i rock timbs cause its like a uniform for niggas from north philly. i just clash it with high end

9. Does style come accordingly or organic? Many people may have the eye for fashion but does that make them a fashion king or queen?

ASAAD - I’m no fashion king I’m not really even into clothes… I’m superficial duh, I’m american. but I’m way more interested in aesthetics such as Zimbabwe cottons & cordura pants shit like that…all og 1 0f 1 friends & family shit my style is personal…so no one can match me or talk down because for one I’m silently stunting with every step every blink every breathe. You can pay for anything with money or pussy but you can’t buy personal style. its just mines…or yours if your blessed with the gift of originality.

10.  Besides music & fashion what other interests have you invested your time into?

ASAAD - I’m looking forward to fulfilling my duties & learning a lot from my newly obtained job @ en noir, shout outs to rob, Jason, susu & curtains.

 11. Along with the mix tape you also have a mini documentary can you speak on that & tell the readers what you portrayed as you brought this to life?

ASAAD - i made that in two days because I’m not priority & no one else was interested enough to match creativity, that’s my biggest like barrier to break…being important to the most unimportant people. ironic i know, but its all you can expect from this industry. I’m not very interested into this rap game. I like the art of it that’s all, this business aint that lucrative. its more so a gateway to the real world if you smart enough. All the documentary is is a day in my life.Wake up and do whatever the fuk i want. & thats what happened… I smoked weed in some random condo outside the art museum with my engineer Ben, picked up my best bud troy, worked in the studio on jaded smith raps, left. smoke more weed outside of big churches & went home because I left my Missoni rap book. Thats my life…its nothing new to me but a reader or onlooker gets to see what i see…well 40% of what i see.

12.  DIRTYMIDDLECLASS is set to drop this month, what is the official release date & any specific expectations in hopes to gain from when the tape drops?

ASAAD - It drops on Christmas day this year @ 12 am. i just want everyone to appreciate all the music that comes from me or anyone @ new black records or dirty middle class …we are the american youth. fuk’n shit up, the anti cliche. the have nots but have all the talent in the world. the loners, the 90’s baby’s. I just want the world to know whats really happening out here for the last of the kids with no filter or fears.

Appreciate you & taken time to do this interview, any last words or shout outs do your thing - #NOS
